Meet Linda
Living in London throughout my adult life, I have witnessed the growth and development of the Forest City over a span of 35 years. I arrived in London to attend the University of Western Ontario where I obtained my Psychology degree. A family came next, and raising three children became my full-time position while also teaching fitness and personal training at a local gym for over 12 years. In 1999, I joined an upscale home renovation company as a design consultant, and three years later, decided to add Real Estate Representative for Royal Lepage Triland Realty to my work portfolio as I felt it was a perfect marriage between seeing the potential in current values of properties and understanding where future values might be realized through renovations. A consistent Award-winner with Royal Lepage for over 15 years, and achieving the highest achievement of Diamond Award Status(top 3% in residential earnings) and The Award of Excellence(consistent award winner over periods of 5-7 years consecutively) has established myself within the Real Estate community.
COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIPS:
I have been active in the community throughout the years. Sitting on the Orchestra London Board from 2007 to 2010 as a fundraising chair, I brought Painted Violins to the Forest City and raised over $80,000 through two gala events.!
In 2010 -2012, I joined the Board of Braz for the Cause, a local affiliation that raises funds for breast cancer patients throughout the London Regional Cancer Program. Supporting women while they journey through their treatment with support via offering prosthetics, wigs, childcare, medical expenses not covered through OHIP, etc, this yearly event annually raised over $70,000 yearly and has helped countless women.!
In 2012 I became an active committee member at St Joseph's hospital launching Bust a Move, which proceeds to support the new Breast Health Care Centre at St Joe's. I am still actively involved with St Joes and their commitment to the women and men who struggle through Breast Cancer…as As a survivor myself in 2008, I understand the importance of offering moral support within our community and financial support to our local hospitals.
In 2019 I joined Youth Opportunities Unlimited (Y.O.U) New Build Campaign Committe, raising funds for Joans' Place, an affordable 39 unit housing building for youth at risk, with a priority on young moms and their families. Y.O.U. is committed to solving youth homelessness in our community, and Joans' Place will include on site wrap around services and support, in order to give a hand UP and OUT of the homeless cycle. As of fall 2020, we are beginning our second phase of the project...very exciting to see hard work and community support behind this importnt cause!
Thanks for taking the time to get to know me a bit better and hope our paths will cross soon.
Linda
